Exciting Partnership

If y’all follow me on instagram, you probably have seen that I was invited to collaborate with my favorite workwear company, Dovetail. This month they are running the Make Your Mark campaign that features 6 artists, me being one of them. They sent each of us blank canvases aka pants for us to decorate.

When they reached out about this opportunity I was ecstatic. A few years ago, when I received my first pair of Dovetails I had actually planned on painting them (see my idea below). Of course, I got busy and now they’re an abstract piece of art, completely covered in paint splatters. Eventually I will order another pair of these Christa DIY pants and make that happen.

For the Make Your Mark campaign, Dovetail sent me the cutest, most buttery soft shortalls. Of course, I had to paint them with some bright colors that honor my inner plant and cat lover.

Thinking of painting your own Dovetails (or anything else)? You can buy fabric paint, but I recommend grabbing a fabric medium to mix with paint you already own—it’s cheaper, less wasteful, and just as fun!
