Bumthang

We spent our 7th day in Bumthang sightseeing. We visited the “Burning Lake,” behind us in the picture below…

… and the Pema Choling nunnery where I almost adopted a cat. Or should I say, a cat tried to adopt me.

For lunch we tried their famous beer, some of their Swiss cheese (remember, I mentioned previously that Bumthang has a huge Swiss influence) and we accidentally put so much Szechuan pepper in our soup that we thought we were having allergic reactions HA.

After lunch, we visited the Wangduechholing palace which is now a museum. You’ll never believe it but Ugyen found a 4 leaf clover and I found a 5 leaf clover!
